Our Santander Universities programme, and what’s in it for you

Did you know that since 2007 Santander has donated around £8 million a year in the UK across our 85 partner universities as part of our Universities programme? The work we do through the Santander Universities team is a central part of our Responsible Banking strategy in recognition of the role that education and universities play in society, and it gives us a unique credibility in both the UK and global market.

Santander Scholarships

With a focus on education, entrepreneurship and employability the team and their partners provide support including scholarships, bursaries, inclusive programmes, support for businesses, access to Santander networks and experts, internships, mobility awards, job creation and skills development.

Through their numerous lifelong learning programmes there are year-round opportunities you and your team could benefit from. These open throughout the year and can be found through the Santander Scholarships website. You’ll also find a wealth of content covering a vast range of business skills and strategy.

Santander X

With a focus on innovation support, Santander X helps entrepreneurs worldwide get access to advice, training, capital, clients, talent, networking and other valuable resources they need to grow. Opportunities are issued throughout the year and can be found on the Santander X website.

Support from your local university

As well as engaging with the higher education sector though our programmes, you could benefit from support from your local university. Business schools which hold the Small Business Charter are a go-to source of expert advice, training and courses for small businesses that want to consolidate and grow. They can offer you business support, sometimes even a space for local businesses, as well as access to consultancy and mentoring. Alternatively, contact your local college or university, usually through their business engagement teams, to find out what help they can offer.
