Overview

Do you want to find out how integrating new technologies into your business operations and recruitment of emerging talent can increase business productivity and improve business efficiency?

Attend our event to hear from expert guest speakers from the University of Liverpool and Jon Davies Accountants.

You’ll also get to network with like-minded local businesses, so you can discuss the key issues impacting your local area, share ideas and find ways to support each other.

Santander and the University of Liverpool have a firm commitment towards providing businesses with the necessary support to stimulate and drive business growth.

New Technologies
Dr Alexei Lisitsa will talk on the subject of Blockchain in Business, and during the session will provide information on:
• What Blockchain is
• How it works
• How businesses can use the technology in innovative and effective ways

Inma Gonzalez will be talking about the University of Liverpool’s Research Business Partnership and how to take advantage of KTPs (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) funding.

Emerging Talent
Attracting and retaining the best talent is essential for SMEs to reach their full potential. Despite this, not all students automatically consider a small business to do an internship or to kick start their career. However, SMEs can provide a wealth of responsibility and experience that interns may not be able to find in larger organisations.

Jon Davies from Jon Davies Accountants, who has recently benefitted from the programme, will share his first hand experience and the benefits it has added to him, his business and also the intern.

You will also have the opportunity to hear from students who have recently taken a placement and those who are also looking for opportunities.
